"Celebration of unity made in Unity; a DITLO someone with special conditions – you decide what type. The virtual convention here is an embodiment of the post-bar." 🍸
The visual artwork and its execution spawned to me at instant. I knew what I wanted: a motion version, a dance floor and emphasis on black colour.
Created in Unity instead of any 3D program, for I prefer live-captured rendering, rather than composing, rendering and waiting. Doing so also offers a chance for real-time adjustments and almost performative aspects of creation.
Web design and development for a webstore – with full trust in my creativity. So I decided to retrieve ideas from my websites-of-dreams repository, and it has nothing to do with fancy techniques and clean-cut graphic design. Moreso, it’s about web 1.0 and simplicity.
The homepage visualisation draws from whenever Parallax as a web technique became a thing. Ever since I’ve dreamt of a simple composition of a ‘scene’, like a paper theatre, and with interactivity it can be dived into.
The rest of the web design is just default monospace typography, links in blue, visited links in purple – just the way gods intended <3.
We can chat about the tech stack and technical execution over dinner – on you. It’s something of a fantastic journey. I mean, screw web development companies with their teams of… more than one. Unicorn cowboy freestyle development for the win!
I still think of this as one of schedule x scope highlights: if I can pull something like this solo in a month – come at me with whatever…!
This project was successful due to trust, great communication and support from the team, high-quality material delivered on time, and full freedom with however it’s programmed.
“In Street View mode the viewer experiences how the sea level could rise at a particular location. The altitude data for the map view and the street view is not exactly the same for all locations, so some mismatches may occur. A location that on the map is displayed as being under water at a given time can appear unaffected by sea level rise in street view – or vice versa.”

There are some secrets about this project that are not to be revealed 🤭 But let’s say… hacking Google Street View API to create any additional 3D renderings (that is – just a line) is, and was, a challenge. It was stupid complex. But I had a creative approach to solve it. Stupid and creative, absolutely suboptimal, but then again smart and functional.
I had some assistance from the work of a previous developer who started off developing the street view visualisation, but later ditched the project. I hopped on and started loving life, honoured to work on something for a major client within the most ideal subcontext, that is the Google Arts Experiments rather than any marketing-related.
